Sidwell's offense was weak against a solid St. Albans pitcher who ended up throwing a complete game, no-hitter. The Quakers had averaged nine hits per game coming into the game, and not coming up with any hits today obviously made it tough to keep up with the Bulldogs.

Peter Bell started the game for the Quakers and pitched well. St. Albans picked up four runs in the first off three walks, a hit, and some sloppy defense, but thereafter Bell held them well. His curve ball was working for a strike, and that kept St. Albans hitters off-balance.

After the first inning, the defense settled down and made some terrific plays, including a full extension catch on a line drive hit to right center by Aaron Lewin, and a 1-4-3 double-play (Bell, Chase Plebani, Matt Levy) in the top of the fourth.

The Quakers threatened on offense in several innings, reaching base on a few errors and a couple of walks and moving into scoring position, but just couldn't drive the runs in. The best effort was in the bottom of the fourth. Chris Stevens drove a line drive into deep left field with runners on second and third and two out, but the St. Albans left fielder made a great run back on the ball and made a nice catch down the left field line.

St. Albans got a few hits to score a few runs off Stevens who relieved Bell in the 7th, and Sidwell scored a run on a passed ball in the bottom of the inning. The game ended with St. Albans winning 9-1.
