The following was the live in-game feed (with some minor edits on typos). A firm breeze blowing out to center field, the setting sun paints shadows on Champions Stadium in the distance.... 1st....TOP....Bell on the mound for his third pitching appearance of spring break for the Quakers....After falling behind in the count 3-1, Bell strikes out the leadoff batter on a fastball for the first out of the game....Second Loyola batter pops out to second base for the second out of the inning....third batter reaches on an infield single to third base, Plebani with a nifty snag to save extra bases....Bell walks the next batter, but no harm is done as he gets the next batter looking, thanks in part to a nice frame by the catcher Fernandez....BOTTOM....N Roman, as he's done so many times before, bunts to get on base safely to start the game....Roman takes two bases on a missed pickoff attempt by the pitcher, ending up on third with Goldman at the plate....After Goldman and S Stevens are set down by the Loyola pitcher, Steinbach works a walk to put men on first and third with two outs....Quakers try a delayed steal....Steinbach goes...Roman for home....two good throws get Roman 2-6-2..... 2nd....TOP....W Roman, battling the sun, makes the play on a popout to second for the first out of the inning....Bell gets the next batter swinging for the second out....third batter pops out to Fernandez, and Bell sends the Loyola batters down in order in the top of the second....BOTTOM....Perrin and Plebani start off the inning with strikeouts, but Fernandez hits a sinking line drive to center for the Quakers' first baserunner of the inning....W Roman strikes out to end the Quaker half inning, score still tied at zero.... 3rd....TOP....First Loyola batter sends Bell's first pitch to the wall in right center, but a good play by Perrin holds him to two bases....3-2 pitch to the next batter looks good from the dugout, but the ump judges it outside, men on first and second with no outs....Bell with the shoestring catch on a Loyola bunt attempt, runners fail to advance....Loyola's next batter hits a deep drive to left for a three run home run....Next batter doubles down the left field line....After the runner takes third on a passed ball, he's brought in on a sac fly to center....Bell strikes out the next batter on curveballs to end the inning....Loyola up 4-0....BOTTOM....Davies narrowly loses a footrace to first for the first out of the inning....N second....N Roman makes a diving play to stop a sharply hit groundball, and throws to second for the force out....On a screaming line drive to center, Perrin adjusts from an initially poor read and leaps...seemingly 5 feet in the air to snag the rocket, ending the inning with a remarkable play....BOTTOM....Stevens flies out on solid contact to right, but Steinbach hustles out an infield single, beating the throw narrowly....Perrin shows some muscle, crushing one over the left fielder's head to score Steinbach from first, Perrin is wisely held up at second by third base coach Jon Mormino....Perrin tags and advances to third on Plebani's deep flyout to right....Fernandez makes solid contact on a base hit to center, scoring Perrin easily and cutting the deficit in half for the Quakers....Ossolinski goes in as a courtesy runner for Fernandez, and pays immediate dividends, playing heads up baseball and taking second on a passed ball....W Roman's speed surprises the infield, causing the Loyola infield to rush the throw past the first baseman, allowing Roman to be safe at first and Ossolinski to score from second....Davies grounds out to end the inning....Sidwell trails 3-4.... 5th....TOP....First Loyola batter walked by Goldman to lead off the inning....Same Loyola hitter to hit the home run earlier drives one into the swirling winds in left, it falls for a double, scoring the first runner....Another tough play in left field on a line drive, runner gets to second and runner scores, upping the Loyola lead to three, 6-3....Goldman retires the next hitter on a groundout to second base for the first out of the inning....Soft liner up the middle brings another run home for Loyola....hard hit liner to left is nicely cut off by Lewin holding the lead runner at second....W Roman and Steinbach work in tandem to turn a 4-6-3 double play to end the inning for Loyola....BOTTOM....N Roman is robbed on a sharp liner to third for the first out of the first out of the inning, men on first and third....Mclaughlin pokes one into right, scoring Plebani, with Fernandez moving to third and Mclaughlin moving to second on a bobble by the right
