The following was the live player-written “broadcast” of the game – with minor edits for errors and content.

Morning, Sidwell takes on UChi Lab School for a second time on this trip, beginning its second double header in two days.

1st...top...Max Kohn leads off. He walks. Spenser Hyun bats second. He is hit by a pitch. Tyrone Patterson steps up to the plate. After battling through a long at bat, he strikes out. With a contact play on, Unteriner hits a ground ball and scores Kohn; error scores Hyun. Sidwell is off to a solid start. Sammy is up, he walks...men on first and third. Marcou reaches on an error but records an RBI; he is caught stealing for the second out. Ethan Kohn flies out to center field and the inning is over...bottom...Kaoru Yamazaki on the mound and records a strikeout to start the day. One down. Next batter singles through the six hole. Yamazaki throws over twice -- and then the runner goes: Untereiner throws a bullet to second and Patterson puts down a great tag for an out. With two outs, a batter reaches on E5 and then scores on a two-out triple by the UChi captain. Davies tracks one down in right field to end the first inning with a score of SFS 3, UChi 1.

2nd...top...Riley Davies steps up to the plate. He grounds out to short. Kaoru hits a hard ground ball to the right side for a hit. Avery courtesy runs for the pitcher. Max Kohn is up with a man on first. Max hits a chopper that gets through the infield for a hit. Spenser goes up to bat and lays down a beautiful bunts for a hit, advancing the runners and making it to first safely. Bases loaded and Tyrone Patterson steps up to the plate. He goes down swinging. Michael goes up trying to capitalize on this golden opportunity. Michael hits a weak ground ball to second, but is able to beat it out, scoring both Avery and Max Kohn who uses his inherent speed to beat out the throw to home scoring the second run of the inning. Sammy Singer steps up and draws a walk. GM3 is up. After a long, arduous battle with the pitcher, GM3 emerges victorious hitting a line drive to left and scoring both Spenser and Ethan who was running for Mike. Ethan Kohn doubles, scoring Slamming Singer. The silent giant goes up and hits a hard ground ball to second which is unfortunately controlled by the second baseman who makes an easy throw to first, ending a majestic ending for the Quakers...bottom...Kaoru begins the inning walking the leadoff man. On a bang-bang play at second, the man on first records a steal, later advancing to third on a passed ball. He scores on another passed ball as Kaoru walks the next hitter. Kaoru walks the next batter. The runner advances on another pass ball and later scores on another pass ball and it appears that Kaoru is having some trouble with control. Spenser comes in to relieve Kaoru. On his first ever varsity pitching experience, he starts by drawing a routine flyout to center. Hyun then rolls a groundball which Max Kohn is unable to handle at second. Spenser is controlling the game and making it his own, throwing over twice and George is putting strong tags on the runner. On the next pitch the runner steals. After a fierce battle, Spenser is able to force a pop up to second which Max Kohn easily catches. The runner proceeds to steal third. Spenser ends the inning by rolling a routine ground ball to short, which Tyrone deals with easily.

3rd...top...Karou is up to bat. With two strikes on him, he hits a grounder and gets on by an error on the shortstop. It's back to the top of of the order and Max Kohn is up. The first baseman catches a foul pop-up, and Max is out. Spenser Hyun comes up to bat and Karou promptly steals second. Spenser lays down the best bunt I have ever seen from a sophmore and gets safely to first while also advancing Karou to third. Tyrone Patterson comes up to bat and Spenser steals second. With one out and runners on second and third, Tyrone hits a shot to right which, unfortunately, is foul. After a long at bat, Tyrone grounds out to first, but Karou scores from third on the play and Spenser advances to third. Mike Untereiner comes up to the plate and hits a huge triple to center field, scoring Spenser. Quakers are now up 10-4. Slammin' Sammy Singer is up to bat and on the second pitch hits a double down the third baseline. Mike scores. George Marcou is up with two outs and a runner on second. He flies out to the shortstop on a full count and the top of the inning is over...bottom...The first batter bunts on the first pitch, and Karou cleanly fields it from third and throws him out at first. Spenser hits the second batter advancing him to first. With one out, the runner on first takes second on a passed ball. Tyrone easily fields a ground ball, but misses the throw to first, and the runner scores from second base. With one out, the runner steals second, and then third on the next pitch. Spenser walks the batter, and he steals second base. There is one out and runners are on second and third. The batter flies out to Karou at third base. The next batter hits a grounder to third, and Karou yet again makes the play, easily fielding the ball and throwing the runner out at first to end the inning.

4th...top...Ethan Jaskowiak is up and flies out to left field on the first pitch. Octavio Bruetman makes the next appearance at the plate and gets walked. Karou is up. "It's only the fourth inning? This game is going to be so long," says Tyrone Patterson. After a long at bat, Karou hits a grounder to the shortstop but is safe at first. Logan is up and hits a blooper to center field. With one out, and runners on first and second, Spenser comes up to bat and flies out to right field. Tryone Patterson steps up to the plate. After almost hitting two Disney employees with one foul ball and almost hitting another foul ball over the right field fence, he hits a nice single to right field. Karou scores from third, and with his blazing speed, Logan scores from second. Stephanie Everet comes up to hit, and the right fielder catches her fly ball...bottom...Ethan Jaskowiak walks to the mound. Ethan walks the first batter. He steals second. He steals third. Ethan walks the second batter with a passed ball and the runner from third scores. The runner on first steals second. Ethan walks the third batter. Octavio Bruetman replaces Ethan on the mound. With runners on first and second, Octavio throws a wild pitch and both runners take the next base. Octavio follows up with a nice pitch, but the batter jumps on the ball and hits a huge double, scoring both base runners. He then steals third. The next batter hits a single into right and the runner from third scores. Octavio walks the next batter, putting runners on first and second. Still no outs. Both runners take the next base on a passed ball. No outs, runners on second and third. Batter walked, bases loaded. On a ground ball up the middle, Tyrone flips to Logan at second, and Logan sling shots the ball to George for a tremendous double play! Man on third, two outs, 2-2 count...liner to right caught by Tierney with some flare.

5th...top...Tierney looks fierce at the plate. Pitcher walks him: must have been scared of BT. Marcou up, and he is also looking ferocious. Tierney advances to second on a balk. George looks ready to unleash his wildcard animalistic temper on the ball. Full count. Tierney takes third base. Strike out looking. George looks mad but Jaskowiak seems ready to drive BT in. Jasko and Bruteman strike out back to back...bottom...Octavio looks commanding on the bump. The leadoff hitter is 2-2... and he strikes him out! He walks the next one. Runner advances to second on a wild pitch. Next man up hits a blooper to left. Runners on 1st and 3rd. Grounder through the six-hole, runner scores. Luckily for us, Octavio still has the knuckleball up his sleeve. He forces a groundout to the second baseman, Logan. Runner scores, two outs. Next guy up walks. Octavio looks over at the Sidwell dugout longingly, like he's gazing into the sunset on a beautiful beachside. Sensing his yearn for encouragement, the bench lights up, and Octavio digs deep for a little more Leprechaun magic. Batter gets to first on a hustle grounder, runner scores. Next guy up: backwards K. Never give up, baby.

Top 6. There have been allegations that Owen Marshall is now playing shortstop. Let's hope that this can't be true. With the game tied at 14, Kaoru has a healthy smack to center but it's caught. 1 out. Logan rips one down the third base line, nearly beats it out, but is out on a nice tag by the first baseman on an off-line throw. Spenser flys out to right field. Time for some D. Riley takes the mound, and creates a commanding presence that even makes Coach Simon scratch his ears. After a tough battle, the lead off runner walks. Runner steals second. Next pitch is a grounder up the gap. Tyrone grabs it but doesn't have time to make the throw. Smart hold. Next guy hits a sharp grounder to third and we get the out at first. One run scores. Next man up gets hit by pitch, and now the shifty shortstop is up at the plate. Let's hope the rumors are false; we can't handle Marshall's keen ball-handling skills. Whether or not his true identity will ever be revealed, he hangs tough with two strikes and works himself into a full count. Riley throws a scorcher; line out to third base and Kaoru steps on the bag for a big double play.

7th...top...Tyrone starts the inning off and is hit. Tyrone takes his base and steals second. Steph strikes out. Bennet struts up to the plate, and its time for a Tierney turn around. All the pressure is on this junior, and the question on everyone's mind: can he hope to fill his older brothers shoes? Of course he can, he's a Tierney. After taking the first couple pitches, the kid locates his pitch and hits a hard grounder up the middle. Run scores and it's a tie ball game! Shane would be proud to see his little bro in action. The Tierney tradition stays strong. George walks, and a new pitcher comes in. Ethan hits a fly ball to right field, and they make the catch and are able to double Tierney off second...bottom...the Quakers take the field, and the first guy up walks. Next guy up hits a line drive to right field, and despite a good throw from Jaskowiak to third base, the Lab runner slides in safe. Runners on 1st and 3rd. Sharp ground ball to Tyrone, who throws home for the tag play. Steph lays it down with a vengeance, and the Quakers are still in the game! That's the definition of clutch, look it up everyone. Next guy up hits one on a line to center field. It gets by the center fielder and the winning run scores. Let's please end with a moment of silence.
