Sidwell fell into an early hole and climbed out on the back of excellent situational hitting. The Quakers scored in four straight innings off balls in play with recorded outs.

Starter Owen Liu-Bailey was sharp through five innings. In the sixth he struck out the first batter, but then the next batter reached on error. After he walked the next batter, Sidwell went to the pen, hoping that Cody Encarnacion was up for a high leverage, five-out save. Encarncion was amped up and unfortunately walked the nine hole and leadoff batters, which allowed Potomac to pull within one -- with bases loaded, one out, and 2-3-4 coming up. Under intense pressure, Encarnacion proceeded to strike out four straight batters (two to end the sixth and two to start the seventh). Finally, he rolled a ground ball to second base to secure an electric win for the Quakers.
