By the second inning of a Tuesday afternoon game, Sidwell had jumped out to a 4-0 lead with some solid offense and a good starting pitching performance by Rob Goodman. Unfortunately, two errors hurt the Quakers in the bottom of the third, and Maret was able to pull back to 4-4 with a four-run inning of their own. Sidwell plated a run in the fourth to regain the lead, but then Maret immediately tied it up at 5 in the bottom half.

In the sixth Justin Hurley got things going with a base hit. He moved up on a stolen base and then was driven home on a huge line by Andrew Rabinowitz; the ball was hit to the deepest part of the park and was reminiscent of the seventh inning hit Rabinowitz had against Maret last game...except that this time he was easily safe at third. The triple proved to be game-winning.

In the bottom of the sixth, pitcher Nate Freishtat found himself in a jam after a single, a walk, and a couple of stolen bases left runners on second and third with no outs. Freishtat then found a groove and struck out the 2 and 3 hitters for the Frogs and got their clean-up hitter to fly out to shortstop. In the bottom of the seventh, still working with a narrow, one-run lead, Freishtat delivered three ground balls (6-3, 5-3, 5-3) on seven pitches -- to end the game with an excellent showing of pitching by Freishtat and defense by shortstop Rabinowitz and third baseman Goodman.
