Sidwell hosted Georgetown Day for the first game of the season's two-game series. The Quakers won on the back of excellent pitching from starter and winning pitcher Tanner Breslin, who rolled after walking the leadoff batter, and reliever Daniel Piho, who recorded a three-inning save. The duo struck out a combined 13 batters, while only issuing three walks.

Sidwell's offense wasn't prolific, but it was timely. A leadoff double by John McMurray was big, as was a two-out, RBI line drive off the right field fence by Piho in the fifth.

The defense wasn't clean, but it was solid. Shortstop Tommy Levy led with the way, with a pair of web gems, including a great play made to the right of second base on a ball hit up the middle.

The second game of the series will be on Tuesday. Sidwell will again host, but Georgetown Day will be the home team.
