Sidwell started the season series with Potomac with back-to-back homeruns from John McMurray and Tommy Levy. The Quakers never surrendered the lead and won by a score of 11-7.

Starter Daniel Piho exited the game as pitcher after one inning due to knee trouble. He was relieved by Cody Encarnacion, who worked three effective innings to secure the win. Owen Liu-Bailey then came on for a three-inning save.

Team defense wasn't perfect, but it was timely. Twice to end an inning, third baseman Tanner Breslin became a hockey goalie to knock down tough hops and take force outs at third base. These plays killed rallies and kept the Quakers in command of the game.

The team is ready to generate similar offensive output on Thursday, while working hard to hold Potomac to fewer runs by minimizing free 90's.
