The Quakers won a sub-two-hour game against the visiting School Without Walls in the DCSAA quarterfinals. With few than 200 pitches thrown by both teams in the game, offense was at a premium. Sidwell plated two runs in the fourth, when Porter Speece ripped a two-out, bases-loaded line drive past the third baseman.
Starter Kevin Carpenter-Holmes and reliever Tanner Breslin combined for a three-hit shutout. Carpenter-Holmes earned the win, and Breslin recorded a three-inning save. Team defense was good, and the game ended with a nifty 5-4-3 double play (Daniel Piho, John McMurray, Teddy Friedman).
