1st...first...Aidan Monheim takes the mound for the Quakers to get a start to the 2013 spring trip. A breezy and chilly night creates harsh playing conditions for both teams. Host Chris Stevens can hardly feel his fingers hit the keys. Stay warm my friends. Base hit ground ball up the middle for the Warriors leadoff hitter...While a runny-nosed Mormino comments on the cold weather, Monheim walks hitter no. 2 after being ahead in the count...both runners advance on a curve in the dirt...Monheim get his first K of the night - one away... runners move up on a passed ball; Warriors score one...On a 2-2 pitch, ground ball to third basemen Derek Levinson who ops for the the tag play at home. 2 out. Monheim throws the "heemba" and ends the inning with a strikeout, Warriors up 1-0...middle...Headmaster Tom Farquar is present to support the Quakers...and Matt Sarro takes over for Stevens as blogger-in-chief...bottom...Luke Friedman leads the Quakers off as he strokes a single up the middle...Luke uses his wheels as he safely steals 2nd...Aaron Lewin has a great at bat, and he draws a walk...runners on first and second as Big Mike (Untereiner) comes to the plate...Big Mike draws a hard earned walk and the Quakers now have the bases loaded with no outs...Monheim comes up to the plate hoping to drive some runs in...Luke Friedman scores as he reaches home on a passed ball, and Lewin follows quickly after a wild pitch...Big Mike on third with no outs and the Quakers lead 2-1... Monheim strikes a single down the third base line and Big Mike scores...Max Kohn courtesy runs for Monheim... Tray Brown is at the plate... Max Kohn flies as he slides safely into second for a stolen base.... Tray Brown knocks a fly ball out of the field almost maiming an innocent bystander... he then hits another one and strikes the opposing team's dugout...He again fouls it back... Tray stikes out looking at a close pitch and the Quaker's have their first out... Derek Levinson is up to bat... Max he's-too-fast Kohn using his superior wheels slides into third for another stolen base, but Levinson strikes out swinging... Chase Plebani up to bat... Chase grounds out the third, stranding Kohn on 3B. Quakers lead 3-1.

2nd...top...Monheim comes back out for a second inning on the mound...he falls behind to a 2-1 count... Luke fields a ground ball, and his throw beats the runner to 1B as Chase Plebani makes a nice pick to secure the out...Monheim fires a first pitch fastball for a strike... Plebani ranges back and makes a spectacular play as he catches a foul ball just outside the foul line 50 feet back of the infield... next batter gets a line drive to center field; runner on first... Sam Lipscomb makes a routine catch in right field and the Quakers are up at bat again...bottom... Lipscomb leads off the inning... on a nice first pitch gets a good piece but sadly hits it straight at the right fielder... Matt (Romo) Romasky jumps on the first pitch as he lines a single to right... It's the top of the order again, and Luke is up to bat... Romo's wheels just weren't fast enough as he gets thrown out, moving on a hit and run/wildly high pitch combination... Luke reaches first on a hard hit ball to second baseman, a perfectly executed hit for a hit-and-run, one pitch too late... Chris Stevens subbing for Aaron Lewin (sore shoulder) pops out to shortstop...the Quakers still lead 3-1.

3rd...top... Monheim once again takes the hill...he's off to a good start as he squares off with a 1-1 count... the batter scortches a hard ground ball just past Friedman at short... error on second baseman Big Mike as he rushes to field a double play ball... runners on 2B and 3B... Monheim works ahead with a 1-2 count... Aiden mows the batter down as the catcher Tray Brown makes a spectacular grab on a foul tip... Quakers have one down and two to go... Aidan works to a full count... The team shouts "go to sleeep!" as Aidan mows the next batter down... error at 3B; two runs score and the game is tied 3-3. .. Aidan works ahead with a 0-2 count... the batter hits one to right field and the runner on 2B scores at home... the score is 3-4... Big Mike is unable to get the inning started as he strikes out looking... Monheim is back up, but grounds out to 3B... Lucky number seven, Derek Levinson, hopes to work some magic as he leads the Quakers off... he ducks under and inside pitch, which almost hit him in the head... two pitches later, takes one for the team (in the back) and advances to 1B... Plebani working to advance the runner; he hits a screaming grounder which bounces off the shortstop's glove, moving Levinson to second ... Lipscomb hits into a fielder's choice; both runners move up, putting runners on 2B and 3B with one out... Romo works some voodoo magic as he hits a looping single down the right field line, driving in Levinson... Friedman is once again at the plate... Romo baits the pitcher with an early steal and Chase flies like the wind sliding into home for a run-scoring double steal... Luke scorches a ground ball to the shortstop, advancing Romo one base closer to home....Two outs... Chris Stevens at at... Romo takes home on a wild pitch as the pitcher pegs one into the ground... The next batter loops a ball to center for a single...Line drive to left center tracked confidently by centerfielder Chris Stevens...two outs, runner on first. Four pitch walk puts a runner into scoring position. Lipscomb can't handle a comebacker...and the bases are loaded. Another walk pushes the tying run across for the Warriors. Base hit yields two more for Wausau West; Lipscomb's own error on the comebacker has proven costly as another error on a pickoff attempt and then one at short stop bring the unearned run tally to five for the inning....Easy play for Untereiner at second ends the inning but not without damage...Warriors lead 10-6...bottom... after a tough half-inning, the Quakers hope to repair the damage that was done... Kohn (courtesy running for Lipscomb) hung up between second and third after running into Plebani who had been held at third base... Despite best efforts, Friedman is unable to drive in any runs and pops out to 3B...

6th...top...Lipscomb is back on the mound... the lead off runner advances to first due to a bad hop which dropped right below Big Mike's glove at 2B... the next batter hits a looooooong line drive which is caught beautifully by center fielder Chris Stevens who guns it in and stops the runner on 1B from tagging up... Runner advances to 2B on a passed ball... Lipscomb grazes the batter, leaving runners on first and second with one out...
