Looking to bounce back from a disappointing start to the season, Sidwell travelled north to play Pallotti. Making the first varsity start of his career, junior Sam Lipscomb went four innings, giving up three earned on four hits, striking out two. Perhaps the most impressive performance of the day came from junior Luke Friedman who tossed three scoreless innings racking up four strikeouts and only a single walk. Both of these pitchers will be big contributors to the team this year on the hill.
Tray Brown continued to hit the ball well. Although he only went 1-5, he consistently made line drive contact and recorded an opposite field triple while driving in two runs. Aidan Monheim added his first hit of the season along with three RBI of his own, and Friedman and Aaron Lewin each added pairs of hits and RBI, adding to the Quaker offensive attack.
