Ted Hefter - 3B
Sam Lipscomb - LF
Michael Untereiner - C
Shane Tierney - CF

1st...TOP...Max Kohn on the mound for the Quakers. He retires the side in order (3U, F6, K) on 12 pitches. BOTTOM...Quakers reach twice on a dropped third strike and a hit by Luke Friedman but are held scoreless.

2nd...TOP...Kohn surrenders his first hit of the day but rolls two ground balls, one of which was turned into a 6-4-3 double-play, to get Siodwell out of the inning...BOTTOM...Quakers go down in order in the second with help from some terrific glove work by the Northridge third baseman on a chopper hit by Davies.

3rd...TOP...Northridge picks up a run on a nicely executed hit-and-run with runners on the corners...Score is 1-0. BOTTOM...Marcou, the first batter of the inning, reaches on HBP; he is bunted over by Migas but is stranded as the Quakers can't come up with a hit with a runner in scoring position.

4th...TOP...Kohn makes quick work of the inning with three groundballs (one batter reaching on a throwing error) and a strikeout...BOTTOM...Lipscomb reaches on an infield single and moves to scoring position but again the Quakers can't come up with a hit to drive him in.

5th...TOP...Matthiesen relieves Kohn and rolls three groundballs in 10 pitches for a 1-2-3 inning...BOTTOM...With two outs Bernstein pinch hits and drives a hard groundball through the four-hole for a two out hit. Unfortunately, he is promptly called out for an illegal substitution.

6th...TOP...Hefter relieves Matthiesen. Two walks and two hits yield two runs for Northridge, which extends their lead to 3-0...BOTTOM...Quakers put lots of balls in play and score four times to claim a 4-3 leads going into the last inning.

7th...TOP...Lipscomb on the mound in a save situation...Two base hits and a sacrifice bunt put runners on second and third with one out. With the infield in Northridge gets the groundball they want but Friedman charges, makes a great stab and perfect throw to Untereiner at home for a tag out! Two outs. Strike out! Quakers win 4-3.
