On a nice Friday afternoon, Sidwell won a rematch against Maret. Starting pitcher Kaoru Yamazaki led the Quakers. He pitched a complete game, throwing over 100 pitches and allowing three runs (two earned). Yamazaki recorded nine strikeouts and only allowed two walks. The defense played well, making no errors in the second half of the game.

The hitting was effective for the first half of the game, with a smattering of hits, bases reached on error, and walks. However, the hitting moved in the anaemic direction later in the game. The Quakers struck out looking far too frequently, including on numerous occasions with runners on second and third.

Moving forward Sidwell looks to keep its solid pitching and defense in place -- while waking up the bats at the same time.
