Sidwell cruised to a comfortable victory over Bullis in a Saturday afternoon home game. Pitchers Michael Untereiner and Nikhil Chaudhuri were effective -- aided by reliable defense throughout the game. The Sidwell bats were more active than they had been in the days and weeks before. Seven different players recorded hits, and Oscar Boochever, Michael Untereiner, and Kaoru Yamazaki hit for extra bases.

The play of the day -- and likely the year -- was a walk-off grand slam by Boochever. He was pinch hitting in the bottom of the fifth with one out and a six run lead. Bullis decided to make a pitching change -- and while the pitcher was warming up, it was brought to Boochever's attention that a home run would end the game -- and that the best way to do it would be to hit a ball onto Quebec Street. Six pitches later, on full count, Boochever blasted a high line drive to right center. The ball hit halfway up a tree and bounced onto Quebec Street, ending the game 13-3 in favor of the Quakers.
