In a game rescheduled from March 21, the Quaker comeback in the seventh fell short, and Sidwell lost to Maret by a score of 3-5. Both starting pitchers -- Kevin Carpenter-Holmes for Sidwell and Coby Gayer (brother of Sidwell alum Zach Gayer) for Maret -- did well, striking out a combined 19 batters. Reliever George Bankoff did an amazing job, entering in the sixth with the bases loaded, one out, and Maret's top hitter up. He induced a ground out to short stop Eric Sun, who initiated a 6-4-3, inning-ending double play.

Perhaps the difference in the game was that Sidwell left nine batters stranded, including six in scoring position in the first five innings. Some untimely errors were tough too, resulting in all five of Maret's runs being unearned.
