Sidwell won its final game of the year, beating St. Andrew's 7-5. While Sidwell didn't perform well offensively, the team was in a comfortable position through most of the game due to a phenomenal start by Chase Plebani.
Plebani faced 19 batters over five innings, striking out 11 of them. He gave up four walks and only one base hit -- a single. He never allowed a St. Andrew's runner past second base.
Sidwell's bullpen struggled a bit and made things more interesting than they might have been, combining for eight walks and allowing five runs in the final two innings. When St. Andrew's brought the tying run to the plate with two outs in the seventh, Derek Levinson entered to pitch. After walking the first batter, Levinson struck out the next to end the game, recording his second one-out save of the season.
