Sidwell overcame a slow start to make it a game against visiting Landon on a sun-filled day at the ballpark, but ultimately the errors would cost the Quakers the "W" in a very winnable game. Starter Tanner Breslin would surrender just one earned run, scattering three hits over five strong frames, and reliever Lee Gillies would look equally impressive, needing only 20 pitches over the final two innings.

Sidwell would go on to strand six baserunners on the day (five in scoring position), which in a tight game can make all the difference. On his second hit of the day, first baseman Robby Schooling drove in Aidan Breslin to make it close, but the home team wouldn't threaten the outcome in the end, going down in order in the 6th and 7th. Team defense will be the focus of practice next week, as the Quakers will look for better luck again in Virginia against Potomac on Friday.
