The Sidwell Quakers fell to the neighboring Jackson-Reed Tigers by the slimmest of margins, unable to plate the tying run 90-feet away in the last half inning. The best played game so far of the short season took many turns with both teams trading highs and lows, beginning with repeat starter, Tanner Breslin, scattering eight hits while surrendering but one earned run across five full frames.

In the end, it was the Tiger defense, which would bend but not break, making key plays in center field and in the infield to keep the Quakers off the board. Sidwell put balls in play all day, and had bases loaded and less than two outs, twice, but could not score after the 2nd inning. A quick-to-forget memory is in order, as Sidwell travels to Fort Reno to take on the Tigers for the second half of the season home-and-home on Thursday.
