Sidwell played tight defense and got a great complete game performance from pitcher Mark Ossolinski to defeat St. Andrew's 7-3.
Sidwell took the lead 3-2 in the bottom of the third inning and never looked back.
Offensive highlights included Matt McLaughlin's two RBI single to take the lead in the third, Finn Stern's solo shot in the fourth, and Paul Carrier's 0-2 two RBI triple and Nick Roman's subsequent squeeze bunt to score Carrier in the fifth.
Ossolinski was commanding for the second time this season against the Lions. Though he gave up two homeruns, St. Andrew's only managed three other hits. Ossolinski struck out nine while only walking a single batter to earn his fourth win on the year.
This was the Quakers' final regular season game of the year. The MAC tournament begins on Saturday.
