The second half of the afternoon double header started quietly for Sidwell. The Quakers were unable to put anything together on offense for the first half of the game, but a strong starting performance by pitcher Finn Stern kept things close. Stern was effective through four innings, and Sidwell's defense did well also, highlighted by a smooth 5-4-3 (Fineman-Williams-Steckler) double play in the second inning. Bullis was able to grab the lead in the fourth with an RBI double, making the score 1-0.

The fourth inning appeared to be promising, with Lukas Williams leading off with a line drive single, followed by a double hit by Peter Suyderhoud down the left field line. Unfortunately, a double play and fly out later, Sidwell found themselves back in the field, still runless.

In the bottom of the fifth, Wes Roman relieved Stern. With assistance from Brett Perrin in center field, Roman held Bullis scoreless; Perrin nailed a tagging Bullis runner at the plate with an excellent one-hop throw to catcher Nick Fernandez to end the inning.

The top of the sixth started with a ground out for Sidwell, and the inning appeared to be headed in the same scoreless direction as the first four -- but not for long. Nicky Raab started the one out Quaker rally with a walk. Then, after a double by Perrin and a walk drawn by Ferndandez, Nick Fineman came to the plate with bases loaded, with Sidwell still down 1-0. Fineman quickly found himself in a 0-2 hole. He battled off a pitch and took a ball, bringing the count to 1-2. On the next pitch, he smacked a ground ball into left field, scoring Raab and Perrin to take the lead 2-1.

The Quakers never looked back. David Steinbach cleared the bases on the next Quaker at-bat with another outfield hit, bringing the tally to 4-1. Then, Nick Roman laid down a perfect bunt for a hit on a bunt-and-run, but he didn't stay on the bases for long, with Wes Roman drilling a 2 RBI triple into left center two pitches later. Sam Stevens, Ian Steckler, and Nicky Raab followed with hits of their own, making for six consecutive hits. The one out rally ended a few batters later, but not before the Quakers had done 12 runs of damage.

Wes Roman finished out the game, retiring Bullis's 2, 3, and 4 hitters in order in the bottom of the sixth with help from Raab and Perrin who made terrific plays at shortstop and center field.

The game ended early due to the 10-run rule.
